Heyo: Direct Chat No Contact (Android package kas.heyo) · Published by KAS Group
Effective date: 22 September 2026 · Last updated: 22 September 2026

This policy explains what information the Heyo app ("the App", "we", "us") handles, why, and the choices you have. Heyo opens a chat in the messaging app you already have, never reads your contacts, has no servers and works without an account. Please read this policy before using the App; by using it you agree to the practices described here.

In short

  • No sign-up, no login, no passwords. We do not know who you are.
  • Phone numbers and messages you type are handed to the chat app you choose (WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Telegram, Signal, SMS or the dialer). They are never sent to us.
  • The App does not request the Contacts, Call log or SMS permissions and cannot read your address book or your messages.
  • A local list of the numbers you opened ("Recents") stays on your device only and can be cleared or switched off at any time.
  • The App shows ads from Google AdMob. Ads may be personalised using your device's Advertising ID; you can decline or reset it at any time (see section 4).

1. Who we are

The App is developed and published by KAS Group ("we"). For any privacy question or request, write to kasgroupapps@gmail.com.

2. What Heyo does with phone numbers and messages

  • You type, paste, share or select a phone number and optionally a message. When you tap Open, the App hands the number (and, where the target app supports it, the message) to the chat app you chose using the standard Android "open link" mechanism. From that moment the conversation happens inside that app and is governed by that app's own privacy policy.
  • Numbers and messages are never transmitted to us. The App has no servers, no analytics of your numbers and no cloud processing.
  • If Keep recents is on (default), a list of the numbers you opened — with the country, the app used, the last message text, a name you may give it and how often you opened it — is stored on your device only so the Recents screen can show it. You can delete rows, clear the list, or turn the feature off in Settings. Uninstalling the App deletes it.
  • Message templates, your own number for the "My chat link" tool and your preferences (language, theme, default country and app) are stored on your device only.
  • If Suggest clipboard numbers is on (default), the App checks whether the clipboard contains something that looks like a phone number while it is in the foreground and offers to use it. Clipboard content is neither stored nor transmitted. You can turn this off in Settings.
  • "Save contact" opens the Android contacts app's own "new contact" form pre-filled with the number; the App does not write to your contacts itself. "Contacts" opens the Android system picker, which returns only the single entry you choose; the App does not hold the Contacts permission.
  • Sharing a number to Heyo from another app, or selecting a number and choosing "Chat with this number", passes only the selected text to the App, which extracts the number and pre-fills it.
  • The "My chat link & QR" tool builds a public link (for example https://wa.me/<your number>) from the number you enter. The App does not publish it anywhere; you decide where to share it.

3. Information collected automatically (advertising)

The App is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect the following on Google's behalf to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud:

DataPurposeShared with
Advertising ID (resettable), IP address, coarse location derived from IPAd delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention and — only with your consent — personalised adsGoogle and its advertising partners
Device and app information (model, OS version, language, app version, screen size)Ad rendering and compatibilityGoogle
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)Measurement and reportingGoogle

We do not receive any of this data in a form that identifies you. How Google uses it is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

The App shows a banner ad above the tab bar, an occasional full-screen ad when you return to the App after opening a chat (never on your first chats), an app-open ad when returning to the App, and a native ad card on the Tools screen. The App may also ask once whether you would like to rate it, through Google Play's in-app review feature.

4. Your choices about ads

  • Consent. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the App shows Google's consent form (UMP) before loading ads. You can change your choices at any time in Settings › Ad preferences inside the App.
  • Personalised vs. non-personalised. If you decline personalised ads, the App requests non-personalised ads only.
  • Reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings › Privacy › Ads. Deleting it stops personalised advertising on this device.

5. Permissions the App uses

PermissionWhy
Internet / network stateLoading ads. Opening chats works without it.
VibrateA light haptic tap when a chat opens (can be turned off in Settings).
Advertising ID (AD_ID)Required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK on Android 13+.
Package visibility (<queries>)Lets the App check whether WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Telegram or Signal are installed, so it can show which apps are available and fall back to a web link otherwise. This is a manifest declaration, not a runtime permission.

The App does not request access to your contacts, call log, SMS, camera, microphone, location or storage. It cannot read your messages in any chat app.

6. Data retention

Recents, templates and preferences live on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Temporary QR images created for sharing are kept in the App's cache and cleaned up automatically. We retain nothing on servers, because there are none. Ad-related data is retained by Google according to its own policies.

7. Children

The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are requested with a maximum content rating of PG.

8. Third parties

Heyo is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Telegram FZ-LLC, Signal Technology Foundation or any other messaging provider. Their names are used only to describe which apps Heyo can open. Once a chat is opened, those apps' terms and privacy policies apply.

9. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on our side. Data stored on your device can be removed by clearing Recents in the App or by uninstalling it. For advertising data, use the controls in section 4 or contact Google. Residents of the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, India and California have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, LGPD, the DPDP Act and CCPA respectively; if you believe we hold data about you, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date. Material changes will also be mentioned in the App's "What's new" notes.
