Terms of Service

Yant: Service Technician App · Last updated 2 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Yant mobile app, its sticker and payment web pages and the related services (together "the Service"), published by KAS Group ("we", "us"). By signing in or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

In plain words. Yant is a free record-keeping tool for service technicians. Your records are yours. Enter only information you are allowed to hold, treat your customers' details with care, and do not try to break or copy the Service. We work hard to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will never fail, and we are not a party to the work you do for your customers.

1. Who may use the Service

The App is for working service technicians and businesses that service home appliances. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. You sign in with a Google account; keep that account secure, because anyone who can sign in to it can see your records. Tell us at once if you believe your account has been used without permission. You can sign out every phone from Settings.

2. Permission to use the Service

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install the App on devices you control and to use the Service for your own service business. We keep ownership of the App, its code, design, name and the Yant sticker format.

3. Your records and your customers

  • Everything you enter — customers, machines, visits, prices, notes — belongs to you. We store and process it only to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having the right to record it. Record a customer's phone number, address or location only for the purpose of servicing their machine, and tell them you are doing so.
  • Customers can scan a sticker and see the service history of their machine and your contact details. Prices and costs are never shown to them.
  • Reminders, receipts and credit ("udhar") requests are sent from your own phone through WhatsApp or SMS. You are the sender of those messages and must follow the rules of those services and applicable law. Do not use the Service to send unsolicited messages.
  • If you add a UPI ID or bank account, you confirm it is yours. Payments are made directly between your customer and you; we do not handle, hold or guarantee any money.

4. Stickers

Sticker codes you generate are reserved to your account and must be printed and fixed to machines you actually service. A code that has been placed on a machine cannot be reused. Do not copy, resell or hand out stickers to others. A sticker that is scanned by anyone shows that machine's public page; keep that in mind when choosing where to fix it.

5. What you may not do

  • Access or attempt to access another technician's records, or any part of the Service you are not authorised to use.
  • Copy, sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the App or any part of it, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the App except where the law expressly allows it.
  • Enter false information, impersonate someone else, or use the Service for anything unlawful.
  • Interfere with the Service, overload it, or probe its security.

6. The Service is free

Yant is currently free of charge and shows no advertising. If we ever introduce paid features, we will say so clearly in the App before anything is charged, and the free features you rely on will not be taken away without notice.

7. Availability, offline use and backups

The App keeps a copy of your records on your phone so it works without a signal, and uploads your work when you are back in range. We keep the server copy as a safeguard, but you should not treat the Service as your only record of money owed to you. We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the Service, and we may perform maintenance that makes it temporarily unavailable. We will give reasonable notice of any permanent withdrawal and a way to export your records.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other users or the Service, or that the law requires us to close. Where practical we will warn you first and let you export your records.

9. Our responsibility to you

We provide the Service "as is". We do not promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. We are not a party to the service work you do, the prices you charge or the payments you receive, and we are not responsible for disputes between you and your customers. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Third-party services

Sign-in is provided by Google, notifications by Firebase, hosting by Cloudflare, and messaging by WhatsApp or your SMS app. Each is governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for those services.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top will change and, for significant changes, we will tell you inside the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of India, without affecting any protection you have under the law of the place where you live.
